How to become a Bolt Driver in Ghana – Taxify changed its name to Bolt to be able to expand its reach in parts of the world. The Ride-hailing App launched in Ghana in 2017 and Quickly raised to become the People’s favourite due to its affordable rides.

In Ghana, you and I may be able to agree that the usual Taxi services have been in the monopoly business for a Longtime. Due to this, pricing fare was mostly the decision of the driver. But now with Bolt, Uber, Yango and the other mobile transportation apps in Ghana, You can choose to pick a ride because you can afford it. or not. “No long talk”.

To become a bolt driver, your basic driving requirements are;

  • Should be at least 25 years old
  • Own a valid Ghana driver’s license
  • Own a vehicle that meets the accepted criteria
  • Have an Android or iPhone Smartphone with GPS

So when you are all set, continue with the registration. Register through the Sign-up portal and follow the registration process.

  • 1st Step: Input your email address, phone number and city
  • 2nd Step: Personal details should be filled in
  • 3rd Step: Fill in your National ID (Driver’s License Number) and License Number (Reference number of the License)
  • 4th Step: Upload all documents required and their dates of expiry
  • 5th Step: Fill in your payment details i.e. MoMo wallet, where you want to receive payments.

Approved Drivers would be given locations(centres) to continue the training process and begin work. Note that you will pay a fee of 10ghc for the training.
